Gas motorhomes range in weight from 15,000 to 35,000 pounds and stretch from 30 to 45 feet in length. Describing them as "motorhomes" is no exaggeration. In some gas motorhomes a full-slideout is available which increases the living area even more.

Some advantages to owning a gas motorhome are; they cost less than a diesel motorhome and gas engines are cheaper to maintain and a bit easier to work. A number of RV manufacturers have introduced innovative technologies to increase fuel efficiency, horsepower and torque in gas engines. It use to be that diesel engines were a lot more fuel efficient compared to gas but this has changed in recent years. Gas motorhomes are quieter and don’t smell as much and for some this is a big factor.
