Taken from company's website when they were in business: Travel Supreme began in 1989 as a manufacturer of fifth wheels. The company began in an 870 sq. ft. building in Wakarusa, Indiana. Because of their success in becoming the number one fifth wheel manufacturer in the country, Travel Supreme branched out and in 1999 began manufacturing upscale, customized diesel motorhomes. They now make both the fifth wheels and motorhomes in their 120,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant.

What makes Travel Supreme stand out in the industry and keeps them popular in all regions of the country is their level of customized options. “We specialize in building special units,” says Ted Cook, Vice President of Operations. “We build our own cabinets, for example, and the customer can specify custom cabinets or change the layouts and we’ll build it for them.

If they want an entertainment unit instead of a storage unit, we’ll build it for them.” Cook says the level of the fit and finish also sets Travel Supreme apart and also sets them in the upscale recreational vehicle bracket with their competitors Newmar, Monaco and Country Coach. King of the Road is considered competition for Travel Supreme’s fifth wheel market.
