Heartland RV Ratings & Reviews

We are a consumer based company that rates Heartland RV in North America. Our rating guides feature Heartland Fifth Wheel and Travel Trailers.

According to Scott Tuttle, VP Marketing & Dealer Services, “Hartland got its start in 2003. A number of years preceding 2003 John Rhymer, Tim Hoffman and I worked together in the RV industry for a major manufacturer. During those years we became close friends and each of us happened to represent a different area of expertise. John was the head of Engineering, Tim the head of sales and I was in charge of marketing and advertising. After more than a decade of working together, some of us moved on to different companies but remained in contact.

John joined Newmar, and later went to work for Forest River. I had my own advertising firm at that time and worked with a number of different RV manufacturers. We occasional got together outside of the workplace and discovered we all shared a passion for building a better RV product.

Heartland RV NEWS:

Heartland Gains 'Edge' With New Trailer Series

Sporting an aerodynamic fiberglass front cap and a crowned roof that allows for 7-foot ceilings, Heartland RV LLC’s new Edge travel trailer hits a key emerging market in the lightweight category. “This is a fully self-contained trailer that weighs less than 2,800 pounds,” said Marketing Manager Steve Lidy, referring to the 18-footer on display at the Louisville Show. “Every component was weighed to make sure we were hitting our goal on weight. The Edge can be towed by crossover vehicles, which is what’s hot with consumers.” Lidy said the laminated Edge offers several “set-aparts,” highlighted by the roomier feel on the interior achieved through the roof’s “curvilinear design.” Other features of note include a tandem axle, oversized basement storage and fully equipped kitchen with a Euro-style refrigerator. Four models run from 13 to 21 feet and MSRP on the 18-footer without optional full-body paint is around $18,550.
