Why rent an RV?

Recreational vehicles, better known as RVs, have become a popular choice when traveling. It has increased in popularity every year since 1961 in America. A RV is like a small home on wheels. It provides the comfort and convenience of a home while traveling. Some RV models like motorhomes can be very expensive to purchase. The average price for a motorhome is $150,000 in the United States. But there are also affordable travel trailers that can be purchased for less than $10,000.

With the economic slowdown many are considering the idea or renting verses owning. The RV rental business has been steadily increasing each year and is expected to increase in 2009 and 2010 because of the credit freeze plaguing most consumers.

All in all this is not a bad thing. Consumers can rent an RV and experience the joy of traveling with all the conveniences of home. They can try different types of RV models, for example a Class A motorhome verses a Class C motorhome.

There are more than 600 RV rental companies in America that offer quality motorhomes, fifth wheels and travel trailers to rent.  The rise in demand for renting RVs has triggered an increase in the number of RV resorts and campgrounds. One of the most convenient ways of looking up a RV rental is to search through the yellow pages under "Recreational Vehicles: Renting and Leasing" or by calling a local RV dealer.

Another way is to search the Internet for a bargain price.
It is always a good idea to rent an RV, before buying a new motorhome, fifth wheel or travel trailer. It allows the buyer to feel how it handles on the freeways or country roads.  Don’t let the economy stop you from traveling to your favorite destinations. Renting is an affordable option and can help you decided on what type of RV is right for you when you do decide to purchase.
