Travel Trailers Are Becoming Hot Again

Among the many Recreational Vehicles (RVs), travel trailers are the most popular today, but that has not always been the case. In the last few years motorhomes both gas and diesel were very popular with new designs and innovative technologies many RV buyers were rushing to purchase their RV dream home. But with the rise in gas prices this has put a damper on motorhome sales and many RV buyers are now looking to pop-up trailers or light-weight trailers as an alternative.

Travel trailers are engineered for towing by a car, mini-van, pickup truck, or an SUV, they provide all the comforts of home for weekend vacations and camping activities. Travel trailer manufacturers are answering the increasing demand for travel trailers; growing numbers of producers continue to compete in making extraordinary yet affordable trailers to fit any budget and lifestyle.

There are RV manufacturers that concentrate on producing a specific kind or model of travel trailer while some manufacturers produce different kinds such as telescoping, molded fiberglass, lightweight, and fifth-wheel travel trailers. Some not only offer a variety of models but also sell and accommodate all of your trailer parts, supplies, and accessories as well.

Most common among these manufacturers is their production of conventional travel trailers, which include a wide range of floorplans and sizes with homelike amenities that can accommodate up to ten people. In order to reduce the burden of towing, many manufacturers have also been introducing Ultra-light travel trailers that come in either standard or hybrid versions. Another big improvement is that travel trailers are becoming more aerodynamic with sleek interiors. These self-contained trailers all promise a comfortable and convenient RV experience without costing you an arm or an leg to fuel up every time.

Today travel trailers are stealing the spot light away from their bigger cousins, gas guzzling motorhomes. In the next few years I predict that travel trailers will blow most buyers away will all the new technology built into to each unit. Travel trailers will continue to become lighter so that many cars will be able to tow them. The future looks bright for the travel trailer segment of the RV industry.
