We are a consumer based company that rates Forest River Motorhomes in North America. Our rating guides feature Forest River travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, class a and class c motorhomes.
Forest River was founded in 1996 by Peter Liegl and is headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana. They have grown considerably in the last few years to include production facilities throughout the mid-west and on the west coast.
In addition to manufacturing recreation vehicles, Forest River Incorporated also has a marine division which includes Odyssey and South Bay motorboats; a bus line that consists of Elkhart Coach, Glaval Bus and Starcraft Bus; a commercial division whose subsidiaries include Rockport and Workport trucks and Premier Structures as well as a manufactured housing division with Sterling Homes and Hart Housing.
Forest River declined to give us an interview therefore we can not include their most popular models in this article. It seems when we asked dealers and manufacturers who they felt was one of their main competitors; many would point to Forest River. The companys sales numbers are impressive and they do have a large market share.
