Class C Motorhome Traveling

class c motorhomeClass C motorhomes are generally constructed on a van chassis. They are usually equipped with a sleeping bunk above the cab, in addition to a bedroom in the rear of the unit. Class C motorhomes are sometimes referred to as mini-motorhomes. They are almost as easy to maneuver through traffic and camping areas as Class B motorhomes.

Class C motorhomes are generally smaller than a Class A, and they have an additional bed over the cab or driver area. While these motorhomes are flexible, they obviously do not have the same space as a Class A Motorhome. Of course, these RVs are a lot easier to park. Fuel, repairs and insurance for Class C Motorhomes are all going to be higher than an SUV or family car.

These motorhomes have been around for years, and now regular travel trailers and Class C motorhomes are being built specifically with a rear garage to haul motorcycles, ATV's, dune buggies, mountain bikes, snowmobiles, jet skis and other big boy toys. Class C motor homes are popular models when it comes to renting a RV, usually available in 22'-29' sizes. They are characterized by a distinctive cab-over bunk.

Ironically, Class C motor homes tend to be much closer in appearance and functionality to Class A motorhomes than the camper vans. So is the price with Class C motorhomes starting in the $35,000 range and going up. Van conversion motorhomes are ideal for the more adventurous or for short breaks, but not necessarily the best choice for luxury or for families. Class C motorhomes range in weight from 10,000 to 12,000 pounds and stretch from 20 feet to 31 feet in length.

Class C units usually provide cooking facilities, a refrigerator, heating, air conditioning, a self-contained toilet, water tanks (fresh water, grey water, black water), faucets, sinks, a LP (propane) gas supply, a separate 100-125 volt electrical system, and a full array of appliances and entertainment features.

The Class C RV's are loaded with features and amenities to make the RV life style even better.
